Job Description

- Cleaning and sanitizing soy production plant, offices, restrooms, and public areas in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
- Candidate must be able to work well with others. This position requires taking direction given daily from the Sanitation Coordinator and Production Manager to complete necessary tasks.
- Maintain a clean environment in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe plant insuring both food safety and personnel safety in all operations.
- Complete shift paperwork, Master Sanitation Log, and other required documentation.
- Complete weekly assigned action items from audit reports.
- Employee will be trained in proper use, storage, and disposal of chemicals.
- Employee will be trained on disposal of hazardous waste.
- Maintain dust shed from dust collector, informing supervisor when roll-off bin needs dumped.
- Fill pump sprayers with labeled chemical- ensure sprayer has label.
- Maintain drains in Soy making sure they are clear of debris and replace quat rings.
- Clean and sanitize carts and wash bay as needed.
- Maintain chemical storage and arranging in FIFO (first in first out) order.
- Will assist with cleaning and sanitizing positives related to environmental monitoring.
- Maintain training required by company.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Knowledge of manufacturing facilities, procedures and working around heavy machinery.
- Ability to lift, push, pull 50+ lbs. Will also require standing, walking, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling.
- Work is performed in a non-climate control factory.
- Work environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toe work boots, hard hats and any other protective gear.
- Loose fitting clothes and jewelry/piercings are not permitted to be worn on the plant floor.

General Purpose of the Job:
Must be 18 years or older
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in production and/or similar military environment (preferred)
On-the-Job Training Requirements:
Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental training
Participate in company planned operations training
Equipment training may include but not limited to JLG, forklift, non-DOT truck, reach lift, etc.
Protective clothing required:
Uniforms, hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, hair restraints, steel-toed shoes, gloves and safety harness may be required based on task performed; employees are required to wear all required PPE (i.e. hard-hats, safety glasses, earplugs, uniforms, and steel-toed boots) in addition to job specific PPE requirements. *Employees in roles that require respirators will need to be clean shaven. Requires ability and willingness to wear respirators.

Work Hours:
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice as needed
The shift schedules include a 12-hour shift on a rotational or swing schedule (i.e. seven day swing and/or rotational)
