      Your day at NTT DATA

      We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Localization Consultant to join our team in New Zealand.

      The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and configuring SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) solutions with a focus on country-specific localization requirements.

      This role requires strong expertise in statutory reporting, tax regulations, and financial compliance specific to New Zealand.

      What you'll be doing

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Analyze and understand New Zealand-specific financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
      • Configure SAP FICO modules to ensure compliance with local financial reporting and statutory regulations.
      • Implement and test localization solutions, including tax reporting, invoice processing, and legal compliance requirements.
      • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide SAP best practices for localization.
      • Work closely with SAP functional and technical teams to integrate localized solutions into the global SAP environment.
      • Support data migration, validation, and reconciliation processes in SAP FICO.
      • Conduct training sessions for end-users and key stakeholders on localization processes.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve localization-related issues in SAP FICO.
      • Keep up-to-date with changes in New Zealand tax laws and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.

      Required Experiences/Qualifications:

      • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in SAP FICO with at least 3 years in localization projects.
      • Strong understanding of statutory and financial reporting requirements in New Zealand.
      • Hands-on experience with SAP localization tools, including tax engines, electronic invoicing, and financial reporting.
      • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and its localization capabilities is preferred.
      • Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and New Zealand accounting principles.
      • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
      • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


      Preferred Experiences/Qualifications:

      • SAP FICO certification.
      • Experience in multi-country rollouts and localization projects.
      • Familiarity with SAP Globalization Services.
      • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
