      Position Overview

      We are seeking a skilled and motivated SAP Developer to join our technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting innovative SAP software solutions that align with SaskPower's strategic and operational objectives. This position requires strong technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement in a complex SAP landscape that includes S/4HANA and SAP BTP environments.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Develop, test, and deploy SAP software enhancements and custom applications to support business requirements.

      • Provide day-to-day operations support, issue resolution, and system maintenance for SAP and related enterprise applications.

      • Collaborate with functional consultants and technical teams to design robust SAP customizations following SaskPower and SAP standards.

      • Lead the development and enhancement of SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, utilizing SAP Business Application Studio and BTP Cloud Foundry.

      • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP custom code, integrations, and performance tuning.

      • Participate in code reviews, technical design sessions, and development planning.

      • Document all development activities including RICEFW objects, technical specifications, and version-controlled artifacts.

      • Support SAP upgrades, patches, and system enhancements, ensuring minimal business disruption.

      • Work closely with SAP Functional and Basis teams to ensure seamless integration across modules and platforms.

      • Apply best practices and industry trends for SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP development.

      • Act as a subject matter expert and provide mentorship on SAP ABAP, UI5, Fiori, and integration topics.

      Required Skills and Experience

      Technical Expertise:

      • Proven hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development including object-oriented programming, enhancements, and performance tuning.

      • Strong background in SAP S/4HANA development including CDS Views, BOPF, and RAP.

      • Proficiency in SAP UI5 and Fiori development using SAP Client and SAP BTP tools.

      • Experience with OData services, CAP model, and front-end technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS).

      • SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry) knowledge including architecture, service configuration, and deployment.

      • Familiarity with SAP PO, IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Adobe Forms.

      • Experience in integrating SAP with third-party solutions and tools like OpenText, Redwood, Cideon, etc.

      • Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager for ChaRM and custom code management.

      Certifications:

      • SAP Certified Associate – SAP Fiori Application Developer

      • ABAP Developer Certification (preferred)

      Tools & Technologies:

      • SAP NetWeaver, Gateway, SAP HANA Studio

      • SAP Business Application Studio (Client), BTP Cockpit

      • Version control and QA processes

      • MDK-based mobile app development

      Education & Qualifications

      • Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (BSc/MSc)

      • Minimum of 3–5 years of SAP development experience; full life cycle SAP implementation experience is an asset.
