      SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE COMMAND VICTIM ADVOCATE (SAR WF) in the U.S. Marine Corps of the II Marine Expeditionary Force, at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

      Duties


      • You will serve as the primary initial point of contact for victims of sexual assault for the Commander.
      • You will provide 24/7 support for victims’ immediate needs, assess all safety concerns, provide victim information on resources that are available.
      • You will develop and implement an appropriate plan of action in crisis situations.
      • You will complete and maintain required program files and client records and assist the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator in compiling program reports, data and evaluations.
      • You will conduct professional level and educational and interactive training Workshops/seminars on sexual assault.
      • You will conduct assessments with clients to determine needs and evaluate safety and levels of risks; assess urgency of cases and develops plans for assistance.

      Requirements


      • Must be a US Citizen.
      • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
      • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

      • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
      • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
      • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
      • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
      • You must be able to obtain and maintain D-SAACP certification in accordance with DoDI 6495.03.

      Qualifications


      In addition to the Basic Education Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Providing sexual assault advocacy services; developing and implementing crisis plan of actions and sexual assault assistance plans; assisting with developing and coordinating command SAPR prevention and awareness campaigns or events; and conducting education and training sexual assault workshops/ seminars.
      • OR have successfully completed 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree OR
      • Have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
