Leidos is seeking an experienced data analyst to fulfill the National Center for Emerging Zoonotic and Respiratory (NCEZID) requirement for a self-motivated and detail-oriented scientific data analyst to provide effective and innovative data science solutions in Atlanta, GA. Provides programmatic and scientific support to CDC subject matter experts and members of CDC. Identify and analyze public health issues and their impact on public policies or scientific studies or surveys. Analyze study or project implementation procedures for improvement.
Position is fully remote. Candidate MUST BE LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES AND HAVE BEEN IN THE UNITED STATES FOR THE CURRENT THREE CONSECUTIVE YEARS to meet clearance requirement.
Ability to obtain Public Trust level 5 clearance is required.
Primary Responsibilities
Designs and develops methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured, diverse sources including “big data” sources Develops and uses advanced software programs, algorithms, querying and automated processes to cleanse, integrate and evaluate datasets and models complex business problems Is familiar with disciplines such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Predictive modeling, Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis testing Works with cross-discipline teams in order to ensure connectivity between various databases and systems Identifies meaningful insights and interprets and communicates findings and recommendations May develop information tools, algorithms, dashboards, and queries to monitor and improve business performance Maintains awareness of emerging analytics and big-data technologies and Perform other analytical and data related duties, as needed. Participates, as requested, in special studies or projects.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Biostatistics or Bioinformatics and 2 years of prior relevant experience or Masters degree in related field.
Statistical programming experience using SAS, or SAS Viya. Must be able to work independently, with minimal direction.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
