Primary Responsibilities:
- Schedule specific medical and dental services in accordance with customer availability and contract guidelines
- Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to appointment scheduling, fulfillment processing, and service completion
- Conduct customer contacts for Health Assessment processing, referral follow-up, education, and resource inquiries
- Identify potential behavioral health situations and follow contract specific protocol to assist callers
- Maintain awareness of service level and queue status to meet contractual requirements
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work normal hours of operation with flexibility for assigned shifts
- Ability to work every other Saturday
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office programs
- Experience working in the Healthcare Industry
- Experience working with Medicaid or Medicare
- Experience working in a call center environment
- Prior military experience
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Must have a dedicated work area that provides information privacy
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Additional Information:
- California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The salary range for residents is $16.00 - $27.31. Pay is based on factors such as education, work experience, and certifications.
