      This is technical work in the operations and maintenance of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) communication systems in water and wastewater utility facilities, including, but not limited to water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, raw water pumping and transmission systems, water booster stations, wastewater lift stations, and decentralized wastewater treatment systems.


      JURISDICTIONS YEARLY RATE
      MOBILE AREA WATER AND SEWER SYSTEM $49,295 - $78,805*
      SATSUMA WATER AND SEWER BOARD $39,516 - $63,172*

      *Amended 3/20/2024 Minimum Qualification Requirements
      Completion of two years college level coursework from a recognized college or university in electronics, information technology, or computer networking, and a minimum of one year experience maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, preferably in a water/wastewater utility; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.

      Special Requirement
      Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence. Must obtain a minimum of a State of Alabama Grade I Water Certification and a State of Alabama Grade I(C) Wastewater Certification within 12 months.
