      Job title: Scaffold Design Engineer

      Location: Barrow-in-Furness - This is an On-Site position

      Salary: From £45,000+, Relocation Offered

      What you’ll be doing:

      · This role will provide you with the opportunity to directly support the production and the build process of our World Class Submarines, producing scaffold designs in accordance with relevant standards and legislation

      · Utilizing your experience to amend scaffold designs, where required to ensure safety and efficiency

      · You will also have the opportunity to go out to sites to estimate job requirements, feeding back the requirements and getting prepared

      · Liaising with Scaffolders, Scaffold Team Leads along with internal and external customers

      Your skills and experiences:

      · HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience

      · Experience in Scaffold Design

      · Adept in using design software

      · Preferred scaffolding background

      · Design of layer scaffolding would be preferred

      The Scaffold Design team:

      As a Scaffold Design Engineer, you will be supporting the build process of world class submarines. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in an interesting and varied role due to the variety of designs and techniques used for different scaffolds to support buildings, large structures, sub parts etc.

      You will be a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, allowing you to liaise with stakeholders across the business. Furthermore, you will bring your design expertise alongside scaffolding experience which can be showcased to the customer.
