      Job summary

      An exciting opportunity exists to join the administrative team at Sandwich Medical Practice.

      We are seeking a Scanning and Workflow Administrator who is keen to join our busy practice.

      Ideally, applicants should be proficient in the use of EMIS Web and Docman 10, have knowledge/experience of clinical coding and GP workflow practices, with a good working knowledge of medical terminology.

      It is essential that applicants are willing to learn new systems, possess a collaborative attitude to working as part of a team. The successful applicant will also be flexible and adaptable and have a good working knowledge of Office applications, in particular Microsoft Word.

      Main duties of the job

      To support the Practice in ensuring that all tasks are conducted in compliance with relevant Practice processes and regulatory requirements.

      The position involves processing documents in both digital and paper format, adding to the practice clinical system in a timely and accurate manner. The successful applicant will be adept at inputting data accurately and will have an eye for detail, whilst being able to manage a time-critical workload.

      About us

      Sandwich Medical Practice is a modern, purpose-built surgery, located in the beautiful medieval town of Sandwich. We have a list size of approximately 13,000 patients. We are a training practice and support the local Medical School with student placements. The practice is also part of the Deal and Sandwich Primary Care Network.

      As a practice, we work very closely as a team. Our ethos is to help and support each other. Our clinical team comprises 3 Partners, 6 salaried GPs, 3 Advanced Clinical Practitioners, 4 Practice Nurses, 3 Healthcare Assistants and a phlebotomist.
