      POSITION OVERVIEW

      The Turnaround (TAR) Scheduler reports directly to the Maintenance Planning Supervisor and is responsible for the scheduling of activities pertaining to TAR events both Planned and Unplanned. Scheduling scope will include Pre-Turnaround activities in support of the TAR Management System, detailed tasks and relationships during work execution, management of tactical and management progress reports and scenario development. This position will primarily role is TAR focused on their deliverables but may be called upon, based on availability, to support the routine Scheduling Team

      The main responsibility of this position is to build and maintain Turnaround schedules in order to optimize resource utilization, as well as the risks to the schedule while ensuring a safe and efficient execution of the Turnaround scope.

      This position requires close coordination with Turnaround Supervisor, Maintenance personnel, as well as with the Production, Technical Services, Supply Chain Management and HSSE departments.

      This position also requires a heavy background in Scheduling and Scheduling tools.

      RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

      • Develop, maintain, and delivers schedules in support of the plant Turnarounds.
      • Analyze timing options for planned work in conjunction with other departments to determine the most opportune schedule.
      • Manage work orders, from the moment they are handed over from Maintenance Planning until they are scheduled for execution and schedule is updated.
      • Support and or facilitate the required Maintenance preparation and coordination meetings with Maintenance, Production, and other supporting departments.
      • Support the coordination of service contractors and material availability.
      • Work with the Planners, Maintenance Supervisors, Production Superintendents, and other key roles to prioritize and schedule work with the right resources.
      • Support the successful execution of work, monitoring progress and reporting status, identifying potential issues, and capturing lessons learned.
      • Adhere to established work processes and practices. Ensure compliance with the Control of Work processes, including permitting, isolations and risk identification, as well as other Cheniere’s policies and procedures.
      • Maintain a high level of standards relating to the safe, environmentally sound, timely and cost-effective scheduling of terminal outages.
      • Drive continuous improvement in scheduling and optimal use of available resources.
      • Attend all scheduled training and support the training and the onboard process for new employees.

      KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

      Knowledge:

      Knowledge of oil and gas industry and practices, including safety, environmental, maintenance, operations, governmental regulations and associated codes and standards. Knowledge and demonstrated experience scheduling industrial maintenance work. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, CMMS systems, and expert scheduling software is required.

      Skills:

      • Effective organizational skills to be able to manage multiple activities timely and with a high degree of accuracy.
      • Written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, to interact with individuals and groups from different disciplines and levels.
      • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
      • Computer knowledge, including Maximo, Primavera or Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

      Education, Training and Certifications:

      Relevant technical discipline or equivalent work experience.

      Experience:

      Minimum of three plus (3+) years of experience as a maintenance scheduler or coordinator in a natural gas plant, a petrochemical plant, or refinery is required. Experience should include Scheduling Turnarounds and exposure to Turnaround Planning.

      Requires some supervision but must also use sound judgment and make good decisions.

      WORK CONDITIONS

      • Incumbent may be required to be available for stand-by duty on weekends and after hours.
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and write.
      • Must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors and outdoors, and exposed to year around weather conditions, ocean environment, noise, and occasionally process gases and vapors.
      • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
      • May be required to work longer than normal hours during Turnaround events.
      • Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
