- Collecting and organizing course and/or room requirements for scheduling
- Reviewing submitted requests for appropriate information and applying knowledge of divisional pedagogy and preferences in the selection of space
- Creating and coordinating examination timetables
- Resolving scheduling complaints
- Developing and maintaining procedures for the allocation of instructional space and equipment
- Creating and running queries to gather data from various sources to report on utilization, and trends to enhance and support planning and advising on future requirements in the University’s classrooms
- Conducting detailed data analysis to inform management decision making
- Advising management and other clients and divisions within the university of changes and protocols that would improve the utilization of University classrooms and the classroom scheduling process
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum three (3) years of recent and related experience with scheduling operations in a post-secondary setting
- Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated and recent experience as a user of InfoSilem or another course/exam scheduling software
- Experience in the development and/or scheduling of courses in an academic division or registrar's office
- Experience analyzing data and producing reports
- Experience writing queries to extract data from a database
- Experience with ROSI or a similar student information system
- Accurate data entry and keyboarding skills
- Writing SQL Queries, data analysis, and report preparation skills
- Excellent oral, written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Superior planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage strict deadlines
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Access and/or Excel
- Understanding of the University’s facilities, service agencies and procedures and divisional structures

Your opportunity:
The Academic Scheduling Team at LSM is a collaborative group that works together to support the academic mission of the University, throughout the year in a diverse series of processes. Reporting to the Manager, Academic Scheduling, the team works with divisional contacts, registrarial staff and professors to schedule classrooms and exams, understanding the specific pedagogical needs through different divisions, departments, and professors and uses that knowledge to appropriately manage classroom selection and schedule exams andmidterms. The team also collects information from their contacts regarding classroom maintenance and accommodations to ensure that classrooms are functioning well and accommodations are supported.

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 11 -- $73,748 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $94,310. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
