      School Community Coordinator (CLC)- Belmont Elementary School

      Lincoln Parks and Recreation is hiring a School Community Coordinator to coordinate neighborhood-based expanded learning opportunities, social services, and community engagement at Belmont Elementary School. This highly collaborative role involves working directly with children in grades K-5, parents, educators, and neighborhood residents to align the CLC mission with school and community goals. You will help connect individuals to a comprehensive system of integrated services, supports, and opportunities provided by community partners.

      Key Responsibilities
      • Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with the school principal, Lincoln Parks and Recreation leadership, the CLC director, and other key stakeholders to ensure programs support students, families, and the community.
      • Program Coordination: Coordinate expanded learning opportunities during out-of-school time.
      • Family Engagement: Foster family engagement and create pathways for parents and residents to participate in decision-making.
      • Staff Management: Manage staff, volunteers, and partners to ensure program effectiveness.
      • Budget & Reporting: Oversee budget and fiscal management, ensure compliance with policies, and use data to drive decision-making.
      • Community Partnership: Serve as a key liaison between the school, recreation center, and community partners, facilitating clear communication and collaboration

      Minimum Qualifications
      Graduation from high school or equivalent supplemented by college-level coursework in recreation, physical education or related field plus six months of experience working with people in all age groups in a recreational setting involving program and staff supervision; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.

      Schedule
      Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; frequent evenings and some weekends for special events and community meetings.
