ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Other duties may be assigned. The EAST LYME School Health Aide shall: ? Assist the Registered Nurse with the assessment of children, perform routine first aide, and support care related to children’s’ hygiene. ? Assist the Registered Nurse with the maintenance of student records. ? Provide emergency treatment when necessary and follow established emergency medical procedures directed by the school’s Registered Nurse. ? Participate in meetings, when asked by the Registered Nurse, which may include team meetings, Planning and Placement Team meetings, parent conferences, faculty meetings and other meetings as directed. ? Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of all medical equipment. ? Lift students when necessary, at the request of the Registered Nurse. ? Perform other related duties as requested.
