      Description

      Whitney High North is seeking a candidate with a desire to help young adults grow in the areas of decision making, responsibility and self-esteem.

      The successful candidate will work individually and with small groups of students to assist with identified social/emotional and behavioral needs.

      Provide direct intervention which can include individual counseling, family therapy, group counseling and crisis intervention.

      A successful candidate will assess the clinical needs of students with social/emotional/behavioral concerns, complete assessments and observations as necessary, write and present at PPT’s.

      Qualifications


      Job Qualifications

      Strong communication and computer skills are essential

      Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to be effective in this position

      Experience in conducting school based psychological evaluations (cognitive, academic, and behavior rating scales) and generating recommendations for a Planning and Placement Team and presenting findings to the team.

      CT certification School Psychologist (NCSP) required.
