      Job Description

      The Science Alive Intern will learn about educational topics and concerns for the state, as well as about logistics needed to run a K-12 non-profit educational program. In order to provide quality STEM K-12 curriculum for the entire state, the intern will help update and improve existing curriculum, and assist with all daily functions of the program.

      Duties :

      • Work with team to identify k-12 curriculum updates
      • Use project planning to prioritize curriculum needs
      • Use feedback to make improvements to STEM curriculum documents
      • Pay attention to quality and detail of curriculum content
      • Identify changes to curriculum that would help educators and students
      • Update documents and build k-12 curriculum

      Required Qualifications

      • Familiarity with Microsoft Word
      • Due to the current health and safety emergency declaration, anyone hired must receive a complete (and verified) COVID-19 vaccination series or an approved medical or religious waiver request as a term and condition of employment prior to any start date at any Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) institution.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Familiarity with Adobe Suite programs
      • Interest in equity issues and STEP topics

      Compensation Grade

      $11.58/hr

      Schedule

      8-15 hours per week
