- Serves as the primary point-of-contact for Parker-Institute-related matters and consults with MCC and PICI co-leaders, as needed
- Develops and maintains partnerships with MCC and PICI leaders and faculty. Understands the culture, roles, and decision-making processes at both institutions in order to facilitate productive discussions and decisions and remove barriers.
- Develops and promotes a culture of partnership, team-work and scientific excellence within the program. Oversees proactive engagement with program contact points and relevant research communities to gather feedback and to manage expectations.
- Connects overarching strategy of the partnership to effective implementation & execution of projects & deliverables both short and long term. Manages & optimizes operational aspects of the program, incl. communication, tracking of metrics, & deliverables
- Plans and executes communication strategies to ensure critical information is shared in a meaningful and timely manner. Takes the lead in organizing events, both internal and external, to promote, publicize, and grow the program.
- In collaboration with MCC and WCM administration, develops operational processes for tracking and reporting research progress. Creates and monitors metrics and key performance indicators at the project level as well as the program level.
- Works closely w/MCC administrative offices to ensure compliance & regular communication w/ PICI regarding agreement terms & conditions; this may include interfacing w/ the institutional offices of Enterprise Innovation & Office of Sponsored Research Awards
- Works closely with MCC and PICI administration to coordinate and develop the PICI budget forecast and oversee the program budget. Performs a variety of other tasks, as needed, to ensure the success of the collaborations.
- PhD in scientific discipline desired, preferably related to biomedical science.

Position Summary
The Meyer Cancer Center (MCC) at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM), in collaboration with the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy (PICI), seeks a Scientific Administrator to build and maintain a vibrant collaboration that enables groundbreaking discoveries. This role will serve as the key leader for all administrative functions of the relationship between MCC and PICI with the goal of accelerating and expanding cancer immunotherapy research.
The primary function of this Scientific Administrator role will be to support and enhance the existing relationship between MCC and PICI. The successful candidate will build strong internal relationships with administrators, faculty, and staff within MCC and WCM, as well as PICI. Working independently, under the general direction of the co-leaders of the PICI and MCC, the Scientific Administrator will be the point of contact for MCC investigators engaged in these collaborations, work across administrative offices at MCC that support the relationship and help to ensure compliance and execution under the terms of the agreement between PICI and MCC. The ideal candidate will be motivated by building and fostering relationships to inspire and enable scientific research that will lead to innovations in cancer treatment and care.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent oral and written communication and outstanding analytical skills are required. Exceptional negotiation, strategic thinking, and influencing skills; openness to new ideas. Comfort with ambiguity.
- Strong organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines; versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work with constantly changing priorities.
- Knowledge of basic and translational scientific research funding mechanisms. Knowledge of human subjects research, patient privacy, and data use considerations required; working knowledge of IRB submission and review process is a plus.
- Flexibility with changes in environment and role. Team player who can work independently and thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
