- Commissioning good quality research from around the globe
- Conducting triage of submissions to identify those suitable for peer review and those that should be rejected prior to review.
- Identifying topics for Special Issues or Review Articles, and discuss with colleagues
- Building a network of academic/researchers to build journal's reputation and support the community better
- Identifying suitable, international academics/researchers who are qualified to referee a paper as part of the peer review.
- Have a PhD in Organic Chemistry
- Have previous editorial experience
- Be a clear communicator with excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
- Have good research networks and connections.
- Be a critical thinker and have the willingness to learn and absorb new areas of research.
- Be social media savvy, with evidence of having used it to communicate science.

About our Team
We’re looking for a motivated and driven individual who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative team. You will work on our prestigious Tetrahedron family of titles within our Chemistry Department. This is a superb opportunity for an individual to build their career in scientific journals publishing.
About the Role
You will work within a wider internal team of Editors, Journal Managers, external Editors and Publishers. You will enable both the smooth day-to-day management of peer review and the timely acquisition and publication of special issues and related invited content. This role will be based in one of our main offices based in Europe: Oxford, London or Amsterdam.
