Job Location: Milwaukee Public Museum - Milwaukee, WISalary Range: $16.00 - $16.00 HourlyDescription
MPM will be offering one (1) IMLS Grant funded Scientific Illustrator Position from mid-February through June 2024 (approximately 625-650 hours). This position requires the production of 10 to 12 Paleo-reconstruction sketches of Devonian fossils based on fossils in the Milwaukee Public Museum or Field Museum collection. Devonian fossils may include invertebrates, vertebrates and paleobotany specimens. The artist will consult with curatorial staff at MPM and FMNH for guidance. Illustrations may be done digitally or on paper.
This position can work completely remotely, however, occasional visits to MPM may be necessary to obtain reference materials of the fossils.
