      Scientist for Ann Arbor, MI to conduct biochemistry, cell biology & immunology research; develop, design & implement biochemical, immune- and cell-based assays, methods and technologies; isolate, purify & characterize natural products from plant raw materials, cell cultures and other natural sources; conduct custom syntheses & scale-ups of immunogens and tracers; perform antibody & antisera characterizations, formulation and stability testing, sample analysis, and validation; generate new product concepts & platforms; prepare & maintain laboratory standard operating procedures and notebooks; attend scientific conferences & present industry updates to internal stakeholders; train junior team members. Requires Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or closely-related field & 6 months industry experience: performing quality control and validation of ELISA, non-ELISA, biochemical and cell-based assays; applying bioconjugation techniques, including mixed anhydride and sugar cleavage chemistries and homo and heterobifunctional crosslinking; preparing technical documentation & reports of experiments, techniques and procedures; communicating technical data to stakeholders, including management, using MS PowerPoint & Excel; using PRISM, MS Office & SoftmaxPro to analyze and record R&D, quality control and validation data; using EndNote, PubMed & SciFinder to plan and analyze experiments and new product ideas; conducting in-vitro assays, organic synthesis, organic extraction & organic purification of compounds; and performing spectral analysis.
