      Scientist – Bioscience Oncology-Antibody Drug-Conjugates (Lab Based)

      Gaithersburg, MD

      Accountabilities:

      As a Scientist in our Oncology Research group, you will be responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing in vitro and in vivo experiments to assess the function of our candidate oncology drugs (antibody drug-conjugates (ADC)). You will also dissect the mechanism of action of these novel therapeutics and review emerging literature and internal data to identify new targets. Your contributions will be instrumental in our target validation activities.

      Essential Skills/Experience:

      • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years’ experience or Master's degree with 1+ years’ experience in cancer biology or a related field
      • Experience with a range of in vitro skills for the analysis of human tumor cell function (e.g. cell culture, cell signaling bioassays, flow cytometry, high-content imaging, cytotoxicity assays and experimental procedures to assess internalization/trafficking in cancer cell lines.)
      • Experience with ELISA and flow cytometry to investigate binding of ADCs and antibodies to recombinant proteins and cancer cell lines.
      • Works independently with supervision
      • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills together with evidence of having used these to support problem solving and delivery in a collaborative environment.
      • Good written and verbal communication skills

      Desirable Skills/Experience:

      • Knowledge of the drug discovery process and publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals
