      How will you make an impact?

      With your broad spectrum of working knowledge and experience in mammalian cell culture, protein expression and characterization, flow cytometry, cell line generation, and cell banking with scientific rigor in a regulatory environment, you will be part of the Cell Biology R&D team that supports development, production, and quality of our in vitro diagnostics (IVD) products for antibody detection.

      What will you do?

      • Maintain mammalian cell culture including thawing, passaging, expansion, cell banking, and inventory management.
      • Generate recombinant cell lines including transfection, selection, enrichment, single cell cloning, clonal expansion, and banking.
      • Establish Epstein-Barr virus transformed cell lines from PBMCs.
      • Characterize cell lines by cell viability analyzer, antigen expression by flow cytometry, cell line identity by molecular typing, and cell line sterility by mycoplasma testing.
      • Purify antigen or antibody. Perform biochemical and biophysical characterizations including concentration determination, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, dynamic light scattering (DLS), ELISA, Octet, and Luminex.
      • Perform studies or investigations under the mentorship of Cell Biology manager.
      • Carry out lab duties including preparing buffers, reagents and media, maintaining lab supplies, and supporting other functions in the group.
      • Compile and analyze data to complete an update or report.
      • Give oral presentations at internal meetings.
      • Perform all activities in compliance with GDP, GMP, regulatory and safety policies.

      How will you get here?

      Education

      PhD or MSc degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Genetics or a related disciple in Biological Sciences

      Experience

      • 3+ years of post-graduate or industry experience, preferably in the development of therapeutics or diagnostics
      • Experience in assay development characterizing antigen-producing cell lines and antigen-antibody interactions is helpful
      • Molecular cloning experience in expression vector design and construction for recombinant protein expression in mammalian cells
      • Demonstrated knowledge in cell biology, immunology, HLA, lymphocyte development and transplantation
      • Clear understanding of cell culture, cell line development and cell banking principles and practices
      • Proficiency in flow cytometry, software, database

      • Ability to perform multi-tasks and manage priorities to meet company goals
      • Strong problem-solving skills, identifying root causes, and proposing alternative approaches and feasible solutions
      • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a group setting to meet project timeline
      • Ability to work in a cross functional environment
      • Flexibility and adaptability in a highly dynamic and demanding environment

      Compensation and Benefits

      The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $91,700.00–$110,000.00.

      This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
