Plant Bioinformatician and Data Scientist, Copenhagen
Are you passionate about beer and its ingredients? Do you want to impact innovation at Carlsberg and support our exploratory and commercial research activities to support the development of plant-based ingredients and raw materials? We are looking for a bioinformatician to join our New Ingredients platform at Carlsberg Research Laboratory to help us understand how characteristic aromas that hops add to beer are constituted genetically.
What you’ll be doing
You will – together with a group of international experts – work on establishing and exploiting pan-genomic resources in hops. You will closely collaborate with colleagues and external collaborators focusing on integrating genomic and metabolomic data to ensure that the pan-genome serves as an intermediate and long-term knowledge-building resource informing hop breeding and strategic research at Carlsberg and beyond.
Further, you will enable and drive commercial projects by providing both long-term strategic as well as ad hoc support to your colleagues across different project teams and research platforms.
What we’re looking for
What you can expect
We offer a 3-year time-limited position at a workplace with great minds from all around the world as your close colleagues in a research laboratory covering all areas of beer brewing under one roof and that has a long-standing history in applied science.
