Job Description

- Conduct and execute projects to develop or adapt microbials formulations, and other bio-delivery carries containing microbial strains, spores and biometabolite active ingredients.
- Design and develop microbials formulations ensuring microbials, chemical, and physical stability. These formulations should be seamlessly integrated in existing "chemical" nutritional formulations.
- Conduct and execute quality assurance: microbials, chemical, and biosafety tests of the new or improved formulations including the microbials agents.
- Scout novel and promising formulation technologies for agricultural applications and develop proposals for novel products and IP securing company portfolio.
- Understand intellectual property (IP) landscape and propose ways to achieve or protect new/improved formulations.
- Follow up bio-formulation and technologies landscape aiming to identify opportunities for improved or differentiated product formulations.
- Support the Crop Nutrition and Biological Products R&D group in other projects as requested.
- Higher education with Ph.D. in Biotechnology or Biochemistry, Chemistry, Material Science, Biology, Food Science, Microbiology, or related fields.
- Expertise in formulation or formulation engineering, with a proven track record of product development as a subject matter expert.
- Practical experience of formulation design for microbial/active ingredients delivery science via coating, foliar or other systems to the soil, fertilizer and or foliar.
- Curiosity and entrepreneurial mindset driving developments from idea to product.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex topics/results to stakeholders with non-technical backgrounds.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English. Knowledge of other languages an asset.

About the Unit
We are looking for a dynamic, passionate and entrepreneur (bio) chemist to develop microbial-based and bio-delivery formulations and carries for foliar or coatings applications. The position is a key valuable member of the Crop Nutrition & Biological Products R&D (CNBP) organization and reports to the R&D Lead Microbials.
Working location is Dülmen, Germany or Pocklington, England.Responsibilities
