Scientist - Protein Purification/Bioconjugation

Perform gram scale protein purification and characterization, such as size-exclusion chromatography, endotoxin, SDS PAGE gel, and mass spectrometry.
Conduct antibody redox reactions and desalting process to provide high quality proteins for bioconjugation.
Optimize purification methods for antibody-conjugates with novel payloads (e.g. oligonucleotides, small molecules or peptide linkers) using diverse chromatographic techniques.
Responsible for maintenance of purification instruments and sanitization of chromatographic columns by following SOP.
Work productively and safely in the laboratory; and maintain good practice in writing experimental report in an electronic lab notebook.
Managing protein inventory by working closely with internal teams or external organizations.
Communicate experimental results with supervisor and at team/department meetings.
Bachelor or Master degree in chemistry, biochemistry, protein science, or related field.
1+ years of laboratory work experience in organic, analytical, or protein chemistry preferred.
Preferably has experience in biochemistry assays, protein purification and analysis.
Proficiency in independently executing research tasks.
High learning agility in the field of new scientific concepts and techniques.
Pay attention to details, ability to identify issues and demonstrate problem-solving skills in day-to-day research work.
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills

We are seeking a highly motivated associate scientist to join our Genetic Medicine team at Eli Lilly Seaport Innovation Center, MA. The successful candidate will possess a background in chemistry, protein science, or biochemistry, and is familiar with diverse chromatographic techniques and protein QC process. She/he will be responsible for protein purifications, characterization, and inventory maintenance, optimization of purification methods for protein-conjugates, independently or in collaboration with others.
