      Who are we?

Nissan started production in Sunderland in July 1986, and since then the plant has grown into the biggest plant in the history of the UK automotive industry, supporting over 46,000 UK jobs. Current production in Sunderland includes the Nissan Qashqai, Juke and LEAF, most of which (70%) are exported to mainland Europe, with 20% sold in the UK and a further 10% exported to markets that span the globe, from South America to Australia, and from the Nordics to South Africa.

You will be joining us at a very exciting time, as we support Nissan’s corporate vision of carbon neutrality. The EV36ZERO project launched in 2021, as a first-of-its-kind blueprint for the future of electric vehicle manufacturing, with a £1bn investment in a new EV, gigafactory and microgrid in Sunderland. In November 2023, we announced the next phase- two further EV models for Sunderland, a third gigafactory to support this, and a total investment of £3bn. Three is the magic number for Nissan in the UK- building on our expertise in crossovers and the worldwide success of the Nissan LEAF, it promises next-generation vehicle styling, efficiency, and battery technology, making the switch to electric driving even more accessible.

As part of our Supply Chain Management team, you will ensure the global supply needs for our products are met. You will operate in a highly diverse environment where no two days are the same! It’s a complex, multi-dimensional operation covering logistics, inventory control, project management and supplier relationship management.
