As a SCM Specialist Professional, you will be responsible for: Directly supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) Teams as a Purchasing Specialist; to plan, develop, and launch new product platforms and upgrades to the Ultrasound portfolio. Execution of complex buying strategies to directly purchase engineering prototype and pre-production materials, supplies, equipment, and services in support NPI milestones. Resolves complex delivery, quality, and communication challenges with existing and new vendors to meet programmatic timelines. Prepares requests for quotes and assists in the qualification and development of new supply sources, working alongside Strategic Procurement and Engineering team members. Analyzing and constantly optimizing the organization´s processes to enhance performance. Establishing, monitoring, updating, and benchmarking metrics, and derives and proposes measures to improve. Providing analyses as required by Supply Chain Management. Initiation and implementation of supplier improvement programs. Cooperating with the internal Procurement, Controlling and Logistics functions to ensure acceptance of and adherence to SC processes, guidelines, and tools. Communicating with external auditors in accordance with the superior. Contributing to strategic business projects, work groups and the training of new employees in the area of expertise. Familiarity and/or ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to clearly communicate requirements to vendors and internal stakeholders. Focuses on identifying regional or global suppliers, markets or regions, for assigned (non-critical, moderately complex) commodities, semi-products, services portfolio, either directly or indirectly used in own product portfolio, in the various BUs of Siemens. Identifies and analyzes internal customer needs, analyzes, and discusses technical specifications, in cooperation with Sales Management responsible or together with technical Project Manager. Actively engaged in the detailed preparation and execution of vendor negotiations and contracts. Required skills to have for the success of this role Relevant Bachelor’s degree in related discipline. Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of professional business principles, practices, and functional skills. Experience in Analyzing and developing the elements of Procurement and/or Logistics processes, to achieve and implement highly efficient Procurement/Logistics standards within assigned organization unit(s). Experience working in SAP (or equivalent ERP system) is desired. Proficient with writing and desktop publishing in Word 365. Minimum of five years of experience. Medical device experience is a plus. The pay range for this position in Issaquah, WA is $90,000 - $105,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical location.
