      General Summary:

      • Under the direct supervision of a Scope Processing Technician and/or the Scope Processing Leader, performs and participates in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, disinfection, drying, storage and distribution of reusable flexible endoscopes and other equipment according to established standards and procedures to ensure sterile and functioning supply of materials and equipment.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED
      • Must acquire CFER (Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor) from CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) or CER (Certified Endoscope Reprocessor) from Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA), formerly IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management), certification within two years of hire.
