      Position Summary

      The Scorekeeper under general supervision of the Hockey Manager performs responsible tasks of Score keeping to support the services and operations of the Hockey Department.

      This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00

      This position will remain open until September 30, 2025.

      America’s hottest music festival destination is finally getting the world-class arena it deserves. Opening December 2022, the Acrisure Arena will provide the greater Palm Springs area of Southern California with apremiere 10,000+ seat venue to host the biggest artists and acts on the planet. Designed specifically for hockeyand concerts, the new arena will provide top-tier hospitality, artist amenities, and all of the benefits of a modernmusic and sports venue. In addition, the facility will serve as the new home of the American Hockey League affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

      Responsibilities

      • Effectively operate and understand the use of the Iceplex scoreboard
      • Utilize hockey knowledge to track the play for certain clock sequences. Keep an accurate accounting of statistics for league games on an IPad separate from the scoreboard
      • Effectively multitasking between both the scoreboard controls and the IPad for statistics
      • Operate both penalty box doors for players entering and exiting the box
      • Communicate effectively with the referees. Possess basic hockey knowledge
      • Be courteous and professional
      • Performs all work in compliance with established Iceplex safety standards

      JOB STANDARDS:

      • Regular and predictable attendance.
      • This position requires the ability to work evenings.
      • Common nights include Sunday-Wednesday/Hours 6:00–11:00pm
      • Ability to establish and maintain a working relationship with customers, peers and supervisors.
      • Ability to follow and adhere to instructions set forth by supervisors, policy and procedures.
      • Ability to communicate with guests of all ages.

      Qualifications

      • Must be at least 18 years of age.
      • Must accept delegated responsibilities willingly.
      • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays, as required.
      • Must be able to maintain a positive self-image for Iceplex.
