      Req#: JR032723

Scripps is excited to announce the return of our annual summer internship cohort!

Here’s how it works: We hire student journalists and place them in one of our 40+ local newsrooms across the country or at one of Scripps News’ network newsrooms, in Atlanta or Washington, DC. Our program is 10 weeks, starting in early June and ending in August. Interns will participate in a variety of newsroom activities, and they will also have a chance to focus on one specific area, as their career interests indicate.

Scripps interns also form a virtual cohort, meeting 1-2 times a week to hear from company leaders and journalists from across our enterprise, or to discuss topics of common interest.

These internships are paid hourly (40 hours per week) and include a one-time stipend to offset costs of relocation and temporary housing. Interns are responsible for securing their own transportation and housing.

We expect a competitive interview process.
