- This position plays an essential role by assisting surgeons during operations and ensuring the operating room is sterile at all times.
- Scrub Techs must possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety.
- Our ideal candidate is a compassionate, critical thinker and is able to act effectively in emergencies.
- Due to the rural location of Client, candidates must possess a comprehensive range of general scrub skills, including central sterile processing, and be able to adapt and learn without hesitancy.
- 1 year Surgical Tech experience (preferred)
- Certified Surgical Tech (preferred)
- Current BLS Certification
- Available to take average 8-10 call days per month (up to 14, depending on staffing levels), with 20-minute response time to hospital
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
- In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures, preferred
- Prior experience as a scrub/surgical technologist, preferred
- Experience with central sterile processing, preferred
- A great team player with excellent communication skills including oral, written, and listening skills
- Cool tempered with emotional and physical stamina and able to respond effectively in stressful situations with changing circumstances
