      Title: Senior Scrum Master/ Agile Coach

      Location: San Fracisco Bay Area (Hybrid)

      Type: 12+ months contract


      Qualifications:

      • Bachelors in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field

      • 10 years of IT work experience and scrum execution in an IT or software development setting

      • Knowledge of multiple agile development methodologies and frameworks

      • Understanding of the basic fundamentals of iterative and incremental development

      • Leading teams

      • PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent certification preferred

      • Experience using agile tools, including Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence

      • Scrum, Scaled Agile, experience


      Responsibilities:

      As a Scrum Master / Sr. Scrum Master, you will be a key member of the Agile team, serving as a coach, mentor and facilitator of Agile practices. The Scrum Master/Sr. Scrum Master facilitates the scrum processes, protects the team from interference and helps remove impediments so that the team can deliver sprint goals and PI objectives. They foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous process flow, and relentless improvement.


      • Plans, leads, organizes, and coaches one or more cross-functional teams on how to implement and improve Agile practices

      • Leads the coordination and facilitation of sprint planning and task definition, sprint execution, impediment removal and tracking, sprint review and retrospectives

      • Acts as a primary communication hub between program and product management teams and the application development team to foresee risks, formulate plans, and organize activities to ensure sprints are completed on time

      • Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution by encouraging transparency and building trust among team members

      • Works with Product Owners and Managers to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution

      • Partners with program and release managers in production deployment activities

      • Leads the development, analysis, tracking, and communication of team's agile adoption and progress metrics, including velocity, burn-down, cycle time, and other quality metrics.

      • Acts as a change agent and adapts processes to maximize productivity of the team

      • Ensures efficient communication between the agile team and the Product Owner, and other scrum teams.

      • Manages and resolves dependencies across scrum teams.

      • Works with Product Owners to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog health and prepared for execution

      • Drives cross-functional projects of medium to complex projects

      • Coaches the agile team on user story sizing and acceptance criteria definition

      • Coaching the team on how to implement and improve its Agile practices

      • Partners with project and release managers in production deployment activities

      • Works with other Scrum Masters in coordinating scrum-of-scrum activities across teams.
