  Farmington Hills /Troy, MI (Onsite from Day 1)

  Contract Position

  Job Description:

  ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide project leadership, management and oversight throughout the phases of solution delivery methodology: Plan, Analyze, Design, Build, Test, Deploy
  • Prepare project proposals, business cases, and detailed project plans.
  • Provide hands-on project management and actively manage the project plan, deliverables, dependencies, and outcomes for all aspects of the project (including business process, organization, and IT solution components) across all phases
  • Actively monitor, manage, and communicate key project control dimensions including scope, time, cost, resources, risk, dependencies, procurement, and quality across all phases.
  • Develop and implement change management and communications plans to ensure solution adoption pre-, during-, and post-implementation.
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of all project deliverables. Develop, monitor, and manage project metrics including benefits capture.
  • Work with executive and senior management to improve overall project delivery and support processes
  • Facilitate fact finding sessions with key business and IT staff to assess as-is capabilities, perform root cause analysis, define solution requirements, perform feasibility analyses, and define high-level solution alternatives and approaches.

  Competencies:

  • Proven project management skills and significant exposure to sound project management and system implementation methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to translate complex information into comprehensive and concise business terms.
  • Demonstrated collaboration and relationship building at all levels of a company.
  • Ability to think strategically and analyze trends, situations, and industry specific data to identify business and technical solution opportunities
  • Ability to multitask and deliver on several simultaneous initiatives
  • Self-motivated, independent contributor with the ability to learn new business areas, tools and concepts quickly.

  Additional Skills

  Bachelor's Degree and 7 to 10 years of relevant professional experience. Experience managing matrixed project teams with onshore/offshore resource model. Held previous business analysis and project management positions in a consumer products, manufacturing or distribution environment. Experience running or working in a PMO desired
