Act as servant leader and coach for one or more Scrum teams enabling the effective use and practices of the Agile framework in achieving business outcomes
Collaboration with a high-performing team, Product Owner(s)/Team Leads and Business stakeholders
Assist in the timely and successful delivery of business capabilities and/or technology objectives
Assist in solving problems that arise when scaling/executing/adopting Agile with new teams, removing impediments at a team level; managing risks and continuous improvement at a team level
Facilitate planning events with Product Owner(s)/Team Leads/Development Team and ensuring that planning is a continuous and a visible activity; Influence optimal product backlog management
Serve as a coach and mentor for teams to share knowledge of Agile and Lean values, principles, best practices and training
Work with Product Owner(s)/Team Leads and Stakeholders to develop and enable meaningful metrics
Bachelor degree in Communications, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline
Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
Commitment to servant leadership and drive to achieve team objectives
Experience using agile toolsets such as Agile Central is a plus
Investment industry knowledge is a plus

The HIMCO organization is seeking a motivated, energetic, results oriented individual with the desire to learn for the role of a Scrum Master to support the Hartford’s Investment. You will have an opportunity to help educate and guide the team in the optimal usage of Agile best practices (Lean-Agile, Scrum, or Kanban) and ensuring that the team is working towards achieving the business outcomes. You will be actively involved with removing impediments for the team and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous delivery and focus towards process improvements.

This role will offer a hybrid work schedule with a mix of days working in the office from Hartford, CT. and from home.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
