Leads the execution of initiatives in supported portfolio; assesses and adapts as needed to ensure quality of execution.
Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group; Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level and serves as a specialist deliver resource (waterfall and agile) to senior leaders and stakeholders.
Monitors and track team performance based on adopted delivery methodology (e.g. agile metrics for sanctioned agile initiatives and project management metrics for waterfall initiatives).
Keeps the team accountable to a continuous release and improvement plan
Supports the engagement and coordination of extended teams and vendor engagements
Ability to manage JIRA as the system of record (SOR) for product backlog, sprint planning, dependencies tracking and delivery progress.
Gathers estimates and maintains financial information in Clarity
Ability to manage risks, issues, change requests, status reporting through Clarity project logs, where applicable
Ensures the initiative’s activities and deliverables are coordinated and ready for release into production per mandatory operational readiness (MOR) process requirements.
Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making
Applies expertise and thinks creatively to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and non-routine.
Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications to the business; Implements changes in response to shifting trends.
Challenges the status quo on how and what we do at BMO; influences behaviour independent of organizational hierarchy
Provides advice and guidance to assigned business / group on implementation of solutions; holds team members and stakeholders accountable to follow the values and behaviours implied by the accelerated delivery model.
Supports development and execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepares and delivers presentations to all levels of management to assist the project team in communicating status and key decisions.
Identifies opportunities to facilitate meetings and working sessions that leverage the Agile practice management program, tools, and techniques to foster adoption.
Identifies business needs, designs / develops tools and training programs for Agile practices / enterprise programs; may include delivery of training to audiences.
Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Typically 10+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Track-record of leading large, cross-functional teams in delivering results / decisions.
Capable of understanding project-level content and executive-level strategic thinking.
Ability to influence behaviour without organizational hierarchy.
Experience working within software delivery ecosystem / digital domain.
Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and industry knowledge.

Canadian PBB Technology is looking for a delivery specialist with working knowledge of BMO’s dual project delivery methodologies of Waterfall and Agile (e.g. scrum framework). Successful candidate will join the Delivery Transformation COE where s/he will support the DnA portfolio in the principle role of a scrum master and adhere BMO’s Agile Standards and Practices. There is a requirement for the candidate to also have working knowledge of BMO’s PMLC and SLDC in order to perform selected project management activities in tandem. The chosen candidate shall support new teams to operate in an accelerated delivery model focused on identifying and implementing ways of working differently to achieve business goals. Focuses on the improvement of individual teams by providing coaching on best delivery practices and processes, protection from outside distractions, ceremony facilitation, and obstacle removal.
