To assist in the provision of administrative and legal services for the business.
Drafting business case documents and responses to be provided to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) in response to escalated Commissions Complaints
Preparing legal documents
Collation of documents for external counsel.
Review of case documentation for issued commission claims.
Handling confidential client or case information.
Creating reports for internal stakeholders.
Case Management
Supporting the development of processes and procedures in relation to commissions claims/complaints
Providing support and advice to the business areas in relation to initial commission claims/complaints
Delivery of ad-hoc tasks as directed by the Head of Legal/Legal Counsel
Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
Sound knowledge of the UK regulatory framework, including FCA rules and guidance in relation to Consumer Credit, - (ideally, more specifically Motor Finance).
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to analyse
Good time management and prioritisation skills
Excellent academic background to include degree (or equivalent)
Competitive salary of £25k - £30k dependent on experience

Reporting to the Regulatory Counsel, the Paralegal is required to support the legal team to deliver legal services, advice, and support to the business in relation to commissions claims and escalated FOS Complaints to ensure that strategic and business objectives are delivered with legal risks being monitored and controlled.
