      High school diploma or GED preferred; some experience assisting with recreation activities for various populations preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Good oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills are necessary. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Pre- employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
      This position provides an opportunity to work in multiple recreation centers and satellite locations as needed to provide support to staff and customers. Ideal candidate has outstanding customer service skills and is flexible with hours and work location. May fill multiple positions under this listing. Bilingual (Spanish) candidates encouraged to apply. Locations include Chesterfield Baptist and Huguenot Road Baptist Senior Centers and the Bensley, Beulah, Ettrick and Stonebridge Recreation Centers. These locations offer a wide range of programs and special events to customers of all ages. This position assists with programs and related activities. Tasks include organizing, maintaining, and distributing supplies and equipment; working with community volunteers and civic groups; answering phones and other clerical duties; daily set up of tables and chairs; processing registrations and rentals; providing customer service to visitors and facility users; and monitoring weekend rentals. Perform other work as required.
      Shift varies; opportunities available for days, evenings, and weekends. Hours each week are dependent upon need, not to exceed 40 hours in a week.
