- Assist full-time ride mechanics with their assigned tasks
- Lubricating and greasing of rides and equipment
- Be able to do parts cleaning, vehicle cleaning and equipment cleaning
- Successfully climb ride structures and ladders
- Assist full-time ride mechanics with minor ride inspections
- Comply with all Six Flags Safety and Fire responsibilities, policies, and procedures
- Adhere to Park attendance policy as stated in the Six Flags Handbook
- Follow and complete all delegated tasks deemed by management
- Adhere to Six Flags Standards of Appearance
- Other duties as assigned
- Basic knowledge of the operational aspects of machinery components.
- A valid State Driver's License and High School Diploma or valid GED.
- A personal tool box with a good set of hand tools.
- Must be willing to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
- Ability to perform various physical activities, such as climbing, crawling, and lifting, from various heights on ride structures.
- Demonstrable communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking), and ability to keep accurate written records.
- Vocational or technical training in mechanical / welding trades preferred.
- Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and maintain focus on safety.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and POET
- Must be able to climb, stand, stoop, crouch, twist, push, and lift for brief and/or extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 80 pounds consistently and carry over 25 feet of various surfaces
- Must be comfortable working at heights over 100ft.
