      Education & Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Fluency in both Spanish and English is required, with the ability to accurately interpret and translate oral and written content while demonstrating cultural sensitivity. A bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Translation Studies, Communication, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have. A strong understanding of interpretation techniques, both simultaneous and consecutive, is essential. The starting pay rate for this seasonal, temporary position is $20.00 per hour. The role involves approximately 32 to 40 hours of work, primarily concentrated in late May and early June. Upon successful completion of this assignment, the candidate who expresses interest may be considered for continued employment in another department.

        Essential Functions:

        • Translate onboarding documents, training materials, policies, and internal communications from English to Spanish and vice versa with accuracy, clarity, and cultural sensitivity.
        • Interpret spoken communication during J-1 participant arrivals, orientations, department training sessions, and staff meetings using consecutive or simultaneous interpretation techniques.
        • Ensure clear, effective, and timely communication between Spanish-speaking J-1 participants and park staff, supporting a positive and productive onboarding experience.
        • Utilize interpretation tools such as presentation equipment to support communication during group sessions or one-on-one interactions.
        • Protect the confidentiality of participant and company information and comply with all professional standards of ethics.
        • Analyze content, including workplace jargon, technical terms, and cultural references, to deliver accurate meaning and intent in translation.
        • Maintain a working glossary of frequently used terms, phrases, and training content to ensure consistency and clarity across all communications.
        • Work closely with the Director of Operations, Assistant Director of Aquatics, and HR.

        Other Responsibilities:

        • Provide language support for additional departments such as Housing, Human Resources, or Operations as needed.
        • Assist with reviewing or developing Spanish versions of online training modules, signage, or digital communications.
        • Support J-1 team members during disciplinary discussions or employee relations matters requiring language assistance.
        • Participate in meetings or training sessions as a language liaison when requested.
        • Perform other duties as assigned to support the International Programs team and overall employee experience.
        • Maintain and protect employee, customer, and consumer confidentiality.
        • Report to and from work at assigned time.
        • Complete other duties as assigned.
        • Must be honest and reliable.
        • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Provide help and support to co-workers on an ongoing basis.
        • Adhere to dress code policy.
