Job Description

- Collaborate with and provide professional development to assist and support school personnel in understanding communication deficits and improving communication skills in students
- Develop and coordinate timelines and best practices related to data analysis and improvement plans
- Help with GPA and transcript audits
- Be a member of the ESC Region 12 Crisis Response Team
- Provide training and coordination in testing and graduation requirements
- Be the lead in seeking an Effective Advising Framework grant
- Keep Region 12 educators abreast of current trends and issues related to Texas Accountability, Social-Emotional Learning, Multi-Tiered Student Support, College & Career, and Military Readiness.
- Be available to serve as the counselor for some Region 12 schools that need counseling services part-time.
- Master's degree required
- Valid Texas license
- Experience in public education as a secondary counselor and/or academic advisor
- At least five years of relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge of the TX accountability system
- Hands-on experience with GPAs/Transcripts
- High level of analysis and analytical skills
- Experience with student information systems software
- Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
- Experience in blended learning
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Positive attitude, self-starter, and team player

- ESC Region 12 provides monthly monetary contributions of up to $575 for employee/family healthcare and supplemental benefits.
