    • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the Spanish language
    • Experience teaching or implementing International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) programmes (preferred)
    • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and ability to work cooperatively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators
    • Ability to motivate and inspire secondary students
    • Appreciation for diversity and a desire to assist all students in becoming cross-culturally competent
    • Ability to transform instruction through the creative use of technology
    • Knowledge in instructional practices for varied learning styles and individual student needs
    • Willingness and commitment to participate in curriculum development, school improvement committees, and professional development opportunities
    • Excellent organization and communication skills (written, verbal, and listening skills)
    • Ability to understand, value, and positively respond to the unique developmental traits of secondary students
    • Experience teaching secondary students
    • Ability to differentiate instruction
    • Ability to teach subject content in an integrated manner
    • Belief that all children can learn and ability to accept differences in students
    • Experience utilizing a variety of assessments to inform teaching
    • Understanding of developmentally-appropriate curriculum
    • Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
    • Team approach to planning and school-wide initiatives
    • Successful classroom management strategies and skills

      Essential Functions and Qualifications:
      • State of Michigan Teaching Certificate - Spanish, FF endorsement
      • Spanish Major or Spanish as a first language
      • Spanish fluency (required)
      • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the Spanish language

      Rate: Per Contract Salary Schedule
