    • Receive and review incoming correspondence, forms, reports, etc. to be answered by the Director of Personnel.
    • Breakthrough Coaching responsibilities for the Director of Personnel to include maintaining calendar, scheduling meetings, tasks, etc.
    • Prepare and complete forms, projects and correspondence and distribute to appropriate personnel.
    • Assist with maintaining Frontline Systems, Eduphoria, File Maker Pro, ImageSilo and DPS.
    • Processing of all employee resignations and employee exit process.
    • Conferring with other departments as needed, ie) providing Benefits with job descriptions as requested.
    • Assist with processing new employees and contractors through the Texas Department of Public Safety and conduct criminal history checks as needed.
    • Assist Director with unemployment claims, pulling files (physical and electronic), faxing documents to Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), calendar hearings, correspondence to claimants and track mailouts.
    • Assist with review and preparation of employee contracts and letters of reasonable assurance.
    • Assist with preparing Personnel agenda items for monthly Board meetings.
    • Assist with gathering information and securing registrations for job fairs, workshops, conferences and travel arrangements.
    • Perform routine bookkeeping tasks, including simple arithmetic operations, for the department.
    • Maintain supply stock for the department, to include technology.
    • Enter Personnel requisitions for processing to the Business Office and process purchase orders for the department.
    • Assists with the preparation and maintenance of the annual budget for the Personnel department.
    • Attend trainings and meetings as needed.
    • Provide notary services as needed to employees and community members.
    • Maintain a database for all employees to include name, address, and phone number changes.
    • Assist with employment verifications and certification reimbursements requests.
    • Assist with new hire packets and onboarding when needed.
    • Assist ESS with background checks and uploaded for fingerprinting.
    • Provide quality customer service and professional courtesy across all functions and capacities.
    • Receiving incoming inquiries, take messages as appropriate for Director.
    • Ensure confidentiality of all files and in all matters pertaining to the Personnel Department.
    • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

      Secretary to the Director of Personnel

      The position of the Secretary to the Director of Personnel is available immediately at East Central ISD. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website.       MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
      Education/Certifications:
      High school graduate or equivalent
      Computer proficient in Google, FileMaker Pro, Excel, etc.
      Must possess strong organizational skills and demonstrate good grammar skills
      Must possess above average skills in the areas of typing and word processing
      Must perform assigned duties with a minimum of supervision
      Bilingual preferred
      East Central experience preferred

      EQUIPMENT USED: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals

      WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress. Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds). May work prolonged or irregular hours; occasional district wide travel.

      PERIOD OF EMPLOYMENT: 226 day basis
      SALARY: Professional Support Pay Grade 304
