- Monitor their organization’s networks for security breaches and investigate a violation when one occurs
- Install and use hardware/software, such as firewalls, data leak protection (DLP) and data encryption (DE) programs, to protect sensitive information
- Completing necessary reports and providing required updates such as annual reviews, performance discussions, and one on one discussions as required by management to establish and fulfill performance goals
- Provide training as needed to staff regarding the Credit Union’s security policies and procedures
- Research the latest information technology (IT) security trends
- Evaluates and updates documentation and procedures for IT systems
- Stays informed of enhancements and changes to TVFCU platforms and systems to ensure security postures meet the policies, procedures and guidelines
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
- Proactively demonstrate the TVFCU core values of integrity, honesty, flexibility, teamwork, leadership, accountability, and strong relationships in every interaction with members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or 3-5 years of equivalent work experience.
- Industry certifications such as Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), OSCP, SANS, SSCP, CCSP, or related.
- Advanced-level Security Engineers are highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and member relations skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of all Microsoft Office applications.
- Verification of education, employment and other pertinent data included on your employment application, and eligibility to work in United States.

JOB SUMMARY:
An Information Security Analyst will design and implement IT security systems to protect the organization's computer networks from cyber-attacks. This position will also help develop organization wide best practices for IT security. Security Analysts will monitor computer networks, applications and systems for security issues, install security software and document all security issues or breaches if found. Information security analysts must stay up to date on IT security practices and on the latest methods that attackers are using to infiltrate computer systems. Analysts need to research new security technology to help IT Leadership decide what will most effectively protect their organization.
This role will be located on-site at the Chattanooga Corporate Headquarters location.
