Job summary
We are looking for dynamic, highly motivated team playerswith strong organisational skills to join the Security and Car Parking Teamat Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holders will provide a multi-skilled service, with responsibilities that include car parking enforcement, manned guarding, and periodic patrollingof the site to ensure the safety and protection of our staff, patients, visitors, and propertyat all times.
You will be required to identify irregularities, observing CCTV, reacting to activation's of both fire and intruder alarms. You will also need to communicate effectively with staff, patients and visitors at all times and receive security requests via telephone or pager, taking prompt and appropriate action in a courteous and helpful manner.
We are currently recruiting for two distinct roles, each with its own specific focus. Please review the main duties carefully before applying.
All staff working on Agenda for Change Band 2 will be paid £12.36 per hour, which is equivalent to the current Living Wage. Enhanced rates for evenings, weekends and bank holidays still apply.
Main duties of the job
Role 1: Car Parking Enforcement Officer (with Security Support Duties)
The primary focus of this role is car parking enforcement, ensuring adherence to Trust parking policies. The post holder will also support the wider Car Park & Security Team in day-to-day challenges, including manned guarding and site patrols.They will act as a Relief Car Park & Security Team Officeras needed, in line with the operational requirements of the department.
Role 2: Security Officer - Responsive Security Service (With Car Parking Enforcement Duties)
This role involves an active operational positionwithin the Responsive Security Service, responding to incidents and supporting the safety of the hospital environment. You will also support the wider Car Park & Security Team in day-to-day challenges, including manned guarding and site patrols.Working under the direction of the Car Park & Security Team Leader, the post holder will undertake a wide range of security duties, including manned guarding, incident response, and site patrols.They will also act as a Relief Car Park & Security Team Leader when required, to support leadership cover and ensure continuity of service.
