      BAT PNG IS LOOKING FOR SECURITY COORDINATOR

      SENIORITY LEVEL : Non-Management Level

      FUNCTION : Legal & External Affairs

      LOCATION : Madang & Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

      ROLE TYPE : Permanent role

      ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

      The PNG market is highly regulated as the government tends to adopt policy developed from countries like Australia / NZ or from international bodies such as World Health Organisation.

      The trading environment of the tobacco category is changing due to increases trade specialisation, concentration of decision power, growth in internationalism and the increased use of technology. To gain the competitive advantage, maintain current singular supplier status and enhance brand, volume and profit performance, the company will need to strive to adapt and successfully implement BAT Best Practise and Learning.

      KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDES:

      • Implement and maintain risk and security policies.
      • Drive a proactive culture of responsibility at all levels.
      • Ensure compliance with controls, processes, and procedures.
      • Provide a safe working environment for asset protection.
      • Contribute to the development of security strategies and objectives.
      • Participate in business projects and the Business Continuity Plan process.
      • Establish and drive a security intelligence system.
      • Facilitate crisis management and disaster recovery processes.
      • Manage security records and update Business Continuity Plans.
      • Ensure key controls for the Security function meet guidelines.

      QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

      • At least 3 years’ experience as a security officer or similar position.
      • Possess a valid Class 6 driving license.
      • Familiarity with legislative and organizational requirements related to risk and security.
      • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
      • Relevant educational background or certifications in risk management, security, or a related field.
