      Security Coordinator-Mount Sinai West

      Responsible for the maintenance and operation of security systems and related console equipment. Operates the computerized alarm system, maintains operational logs and other administrative documents, monitors CCTV, answers telephones, operates the two-way radio system, and dispatches security personnel as required.

      Qualifications

      Requirements:

      • HS/GED minimum; Associates degree is preferred.
      • Security experience preferred

      Responsibilities

      • Provides information to Security Officers to assure prompt response to staff, patient & visitor requests for security, safety and other related services.
      • Monitors CCTV and operates the computerized alarm systems. Notifies appropriate person/persons of emergency situations.
      • Maintains alarm and access logs, VCR tape library, and systems printout.
      • Monitors security systems and related equipment to include, but not limited to: videotaping devices, radio systems, and elevator intercom systems. Applies key, properties, valuables, and other control procedures in accordance with department policy.
      • Maintains communication with and dispatch personnel in support of security operations, alarms responses, escorts, and patrols.
      • Completes administrative functions to include issuing and collecting shift related documents, such as Incident Reports, Roll Call, Zone Sheets, etc.
