  Movie and Television Production Security Guard position with Reel Security of California

  Reel Security is the leading global provider of security services to the film and entertainment industry.   Job Description:

  REEL SECURITY is seeking Unarmed Security Officers to work at a TV/Movie Studio in the Los Angeles area. Security officers will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of patrons and staff on Studio property. Security officers may be assigned to different posts as needed.

  Qualifications:

  • Valid Security Guard Card *(REQUIRED)*
  • Covid-19 Vaccination Card *(REQUIRED)*
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
  • Regular and punctual attendance to all shifts
  • Smart Phone required
  • Flexible schedule
  • A history of lawful conduct (Background check prior to hire)
  • High standards of integrity and honesty

  Duties may include but not limited to:

  • Being alert at assigned post at all times to ensure personal safety
  • Making customer service is a top priority – be pleasant and courteous while greeting all staff, production, and visitors
  • Know the Studio property – where all entrance/exit points are located, and how to direct people to the different areas on the property where they may be working
  • Check Identification/badges of each person attempting to get on the Studio property
  • Ability to use a radio for communications to security Command Center and other personnel
  • Receive and pass down relevant information from the officer being relieved from their shift to keep all officers aware of pertinent information (communication is key)
  • Monitoring various activities on and around assigned post (parking lot / security cameras)
  • Making rounds on the Studio property to ensure the environment is safe
  • Being aware of the chain of command system when an emergency takes place, and the steps needed to take to mitigate the problem
  • Staying calm and collected in the event of an emergency, and carry out actions based on the Reel Security policies and procedures set in place
  • Practicing safety at all times to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Standing/sitting at post for prolonged periods of time
  • Monitor and protect client property at temporary sites from intrusion and theft.
  • Record and log incoming drop-offs and pickups of client equipment at temporary sites.
  • Patrol client areas to detect potential unsecured property.
  • Obtain information of incidents that occur on post and write incident reports.
  • Assists in possible emergency situations.
  • Monitor temporary ‘no parking’ posting in order to inform the public of the signage to ensure the parking area remains clear.
  • Monitor a client’s temporary sites to prevent trespassing.
  • Officers may be required to lift up to 25 pounds with the direction of a supervisor.
  • All posts are temporary and all scheduling is done ON CALL.

  Training:

  We set our team members up for success! Training is provided for all officers before placement, as well as after being placed (and throughout your assignment).

  Job Type: VARIABLE HOURS

  Pay: $19.50 per hour

  This Variable Hour position offers:

  • * 8 HOUR SHIFTS (Potential for Full Time)*

  • * FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE (Day, Evening, Overnight available)*
  • * Monday to Friday*
  • * Weekend availability*

  Experience:
