- Monitor and control access to the data center, ensuring that only authorized persons can enter.
- Conduct regular patrols of the data center premises to identify and resolve security risks.
- Incident response : Respond to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports; escalate issues as necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with provincial and local security regulations.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with other safety staff and customer personnel to maintain a safe environment.
- 6 months to 1 year of proven experience as a security officer, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
- Must pass a full 5-year background check and have a clean security record.
- Computer skills required: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reports and documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with video surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems and alarm monitoring software.
- Excellent observation and surveillance skills.
- Must hold a valid Montreal Security Licence (BSP).
- Must be authorized to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.

Allied Universal is looking for Professional Security Agents to join our team in Gatineau. As a Security Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of customer properties and their personnel. This role involves a combination of customer service, security operations and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, the ability to manage crisis situations and a customer-centric approach.
