Job Description
- Req#: 1451
- Periodically tours building and grounds for security inspections.
- Confronts unauthorized persons for questioning, routes or detains when appropriate. Contacts local law enforcement when necessary.
- Assist clinical staff with management of assaultive behavior related to agitated or aggressive patient.
- Reports any unusual conditions or malfunctioning equipment.
- Checks automobiles for proper parking authorization. Checks exterior lighting and access routes to emergency entrance.
- Maintains written reports of incidents.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Active CA Guard Card required
- One year security guard, preferably in a hospital, clinic or similar environment
- Knowledge Management of Assaultive Behavior techniques
- Ability to work around patients seeking psychiatric / behavioral health treatment
- Must be able to communicate (speak and understand) English
The SECURITY GUARD performs a variety of duties related to the security of the clinic building and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry and to assure personal safety of employees, patients and visitors.
