If you're a dedicated observer with a calm demeanor and a knack for keeping people safe, we want you on our team! Fort Gibson Cherokee Casino is looking for guardian angels in disguise to join our Security Team and deal a winning hand of safety for every guest and employee.

      What You'll Do

      • Protect guests, employees, and the company’s physical assets from harm, reporting any safety hazards.
      • Stop guests carrying prohibited items from entering, and politely but firmly address those violating policies, ensuring everyone plays by the rules.
      • Keep a watchful eye over the bustling casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots, deterring mischief before it can strike.
      • Assist guests and employees in need, from lost souls to medical emergencies. Perform CPR and first aid like a skilled knight, providing comfort and security.
      • Observe guest and employee behavior for suspicious activity, alerting leadership like a stealthy fox.
      • Maintain detailed written reports of incidents, documenting every twist and turn with precision.
      • Ensure responsible entertainment by verifying guest IDs and upholding the company’s age requirements.
      • Prepare written reports of investigations, criminal activities, and daily patrols, painting a clear picture with every word.
      • Guide employees through secure areas and assist with entry into gaming machines, ensuring everyone moves safely and efficiently.
      • Interview witnesses, gather signatures, and comply with legal regulations like a seasoned detective.

      You're a Perfect Fit If

      • You radiate calmness under pressure, keeping a cool head even when the stakes are high.
      • Your eyes are razor-sharp, spotting potential issues before they escalate.
      • You're always ready to lend a hand (or a reassuring presence), understanding that teamwork keeps everyone safe. Think of yourself as the glue that holds the crew together.
      • You can talk your way out of any situation, using negotiation and active listening to resolve conflicts smoothly.
      • You’re familiar with surveillance systems and maintaining a chain of evidence like a seasoned detective.

      What We Offer

      • Stay well with affordable healthcare, telemedicine, and wellness programs.
      • Access dental, vision, and extra savings through flexible spending accounts.
      • Peace of mind with life and disability insurance, plus free EAP support.
      • Invest in your future with a generous 401(k) company match (up to 6%).
      • Enjoy paid time off for vacation, sick leave, and beyond.
      • Welcome new arrivals with paid maternity/paternity leave.
      • Earn extra as an hourly employee through our quarterly incentive program.
      • Customize your benefits with optional insurance add-ons.

      Requirements

      • We're looking for someone with a minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least one year of experience in a similar role.
      • State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) unarmed security guard license is required within 180 days of hire.
      • CPR certification
      • A valid driver's license is essential for ensuring swift response and assistance across properties.
      • Be prepared for a vibrant atmosphere with exposure to smoke, noise, and bright lights.
      • This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

NOTE, this job is a safety-sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements. A positive drug test will result in a job offer being rescinded or, for active employees, termination, even if they test positive for marijuana and have a valid medical marijuana license.
