      The Security Manager oversees day to day management of all security functions for St George Hospital campus, including Mental Health Services, and is the security liaison for SESLHD Population and Community Health (PaCH) Services.

      This position is responsible for the supervision of security operations and systems, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of security services for the protection and security of people and property on the St George Hospital campus, SESLHD community services and the management of the Security Department and security Staff within the Department.

      Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

      All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

      Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Booster doses are highly recommended for all health care workers who have completed the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations.

      1. Extensive experience in a management capacity within security services with experience in, or ability to display an understanding of, security within a health environment and an ability to effectively manage competing workload priorities.
      2. Demonstrated ability to influence, motivate, co-ordinate and develop security teams positively to achieve commitment and co-operation with relevant stakeholders.
      3. Current NSW Security Licence Class 1A, Senior First Aid.
      4. Demonstrated ability to provide sound advice, technical working knowledge and to make recommendations to senior management regarding security services.
      5. High level communication and interpersonal skills, organisational and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to consult and negotiate with key stakeholders at all levels
      6. Understanding of security needs in a community health setting
      7. Ability to interpret, apply, monitor and evaluate policies, procedures and standards
      8. Demonstrated ability to participate in strategic planning of services and facilities with respect to security audits, risk management and assessments.
